Purple Pinkie Day – Friday April 7th

The Warren County Community Interact Club, which is sponsored by the Breakfast and Noon Rotary Clubs, wants to raise awareness about Polio and support fundraising efforts to provide Polio Vaccines to areas of the world affected by Polio.

While polio is a distant memory in most of the world, the disease still exists in some places and mainly affects children under 5. We are 99% of the way to eradicating Polio globally. There are three countries that face a
number of challenges to keep polio at bay, which has caused them to have never stopped the transmission of polio over the years. Unlike most diseases, polio can be eradicated, and we’re closer than ever.  Getting rid of polio is a big deal to Rotary, and any and all donations and support for this cause are well appreciated. Join us to eradicate the harmful effects of polio!

On Friday April 7th CA Students who donate at least $5 will be allowed to wear jeans and a purple shirt or a CA T-shirt and they will get one of their pinkie finger nails painted purple.  Additionally, Interact members will run a bake sale in the cafeteria at lunch ($1 items) and they will operate the concession stand at the Home Soccer Game Friday night.
