Notes

  • Monday – Middle School and High School Basketball Games at Franklin Road Christian School in Murfreesboro.  MS Girls play at 4:00 PM with other games to follow.
  • Tuesday –  Thanksgiving Lunch starting with Kindergarten at 10:35 AM
  • Wednesday – Friday – NO SCHOOL
  • Menu for the Week: Monday – Turkey/Ham Wraps; Tuesday – Traditional Thanksgiving Dinner; Wednesday – No School; Thursday – No School; Friday – No School.
  • December 11th – School Wide Christmas Program 6:00 PM.
  • December 13th Middle School Trip to Jump Street in Murfreesboro ($15 plus $5.00 for lunch); High School Trip to Escape Game Nashville ($30 plus lunch money for Baja Burrito.

Notes

  • Monday – Elementary Basketball Games at Hickory Creek Elementary at 6:00.
  • Tuesday –  MS & HS Basketball Games on schedule will not be played at the Civic Center.  We are awaiting word from Franklin Classical on whether they will host a game or games on Tuesday or if we are cancelling.  Player Parents, your child will be informed at practice on Monday and the information will be posted on the Team App.
  • Thursday – MS & HS Basketball Games at Dayspring Academy in Greenbrier, Tn starting with MS Girls at 4:30.
  • Menu for the Week: Monday – Loaded Potato Soup & Grilled Cheese; Tuesday – Mr. Juan’s World Famous Chicken Enchiladas; Wednesday – Corn Dogs; Thursday – Chicken Nuggets; Friday – Cheeseburger.
  • Permission Slips will be sent home with 5th – 8th Grade students this week about the field trip to see Wonder at 3 Star Cinema on November 20th.
  • Blood Assurance Blood Drive – November 18th at the old Sanctuary Bldg.  To make an appointment go to: www.bloodassurance.org/covenant
  • CA’s annual Thanksgiving Lunch for students and their families will be Tuesday, November 21st.  A sign-up sheet will be sent home this week to help get a head count for lunch.  Please be sure to return it as soon as possible.

Congrats to CA Graduate Hannah Griffin on scoring her first points in college basketball.  Hannah drained 2 three point baskets late in Bryan College’s victory over Cumberland University Wednesday Nov. 1st.

Announcements for Week of October 30th

News

Congrats to our Varsity Volleyball team who competed in the National Association of Christian Athletes (NACA) National Tournament Oct. 25-27 in Dayton, Tn.  Our Lady Lions placed Third in Division 4 at the tournament.  Senior Katherine Shelton was selected to the All-Tournament Team for her outstanding play.

 

 

Our Elementary Basketball teams are off and running.  The boys have notched victories over Dibrell and West Elementary and the girls have come out victorious in games against Bobby Ray Elementary and West Elementary.  Both teams have a record of 2-1 at this point in the season.  Be sure to come out and support our athletes — we had a great crowd at last Thursday’s game as you can see in the photo.

Welcome back from Fall Break!!!

  • Monday –  School Pictures for the PreSchool Students
  • Tuesday – School Pictures for K – 12 Students – All students need to wear navy tops with khaki bottoms.  Students involved with sports who have their uniforms will need to bring the uniforms to school for team photos as well. Band students need to bring their instruments. — MTAC HS Volleyball Tournament 1st Round Lighthouse Christian at Covenant Academy 5:00 PM.  This will be the LAST Home volleyball game of the season, so make plans to cheer the girls to victory.
  • Thursday – Home Elementary Basketball games vs. Dibrell.  Girls play at 4:00 and Boys will play after the Girls game.

  • Calling all Music Lovers — Mrs. McVey will be setting up our first school Band this year.  If you happen to have a clarinet, saxophone or other band instrument stashed in a closet or your attic, please consider donating it to our Band program.  Bring instrument donations to the school office and Mrs. Shannon will be happy to issue you a receipt that you can use on your Income Taxes.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped and/or ate at the Fair Food Booth last week.  We will announce results at a later date once all of the bills have been paid; however early indications are that we came close to equaling last year in sales, which is a miracle considering the rainy, windy, cool weather we had early in the week.
